Oliver/Osoyoos Search and Rescue is a volunteer team supporting police, fire departments, ambulance services and local governments during searches and civil emergencies.
Its capabilities include:
- ground search and rescue;
- swiftwater response;
- winter response;
- drones;
- search dogs;
- rope rescue.
Do not call a volunteer directly to report an active emergency. Call 911 and the appropriate agency will activate Search and Rescue.
The organization periodically recruits and trains new volunteers. Check its official website for current intake information.
